Associate Solution Engineer – Central Change Management Team
Associate Solution Engineer – Central Change Management Team collaborates with the customer account team, CSMs, Project Managers, Delivery Managers, and other network engineers to thoroughly understand their specific business challenges, technical requirements, and goals. Based on the gathered information proceed by implementing the standard ITIL principles and process of service transition in particular change management and Service Asset and Configuration Management to address the customer’s needs using the company’s tools and workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
All of these key responsibilities are carried out by a Associate Solution Engineer – Central Change Management Team
- Validate all change requests assigned to his queue, qualify them as per standard change management principals and get clarification from requestors before start of change.
- Assess impact of change on customer network, with risk assessment and mitigation / fallback planning.
- Prepare Technical runbooks for changes assigned to him and share runbook in advance with all participants.
- Chair & lead all migrations assigned to him and ensure adherence of runbook & change management principals
. § Ensure that all stakeholders join the migrations, record observations, run pre-checks/post-checks.
- Take corrective actions, direct implementors & guide to ensure successful completion of migration.
- Keep all stakeholders including customer aware of progress during a migration while keeping track of time.
- Initiate fallback plan in discussion with customer in case of challenges, overrunning time window etc.
- Release success/failure advisories to all stakeholders documenting all technical steps taken during migrations.
Qualifications & EXPERIENCE:
4- 6 year or more in similar roles with good understanding of Telecommunication & Network Services domain. Flexible of working in 24×7 environment. Ideal candidate may come from roles like – Technical Change Manager, Change Manager, IP Expert, Implementation Specialist etc.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Knowledge of IT and ATI industries – Able to operate within virtual teams.
- Working experience in enterprise customer projects: Network Solution Desing.
- Strong understanding of routing protocols like MPLS, BGP, OSPF, ISIS etc.
- Hands-on experience in implementation of SDWAN Services – Preferably Vera SDWAN.
- Good analytical and reporting skills. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Technical Certification link CCNP, CCDA preferred.
