Delivery Manager

A brief overview of the role:

The Delivery Manager is responsible for the successful delivery and deployment of network services to the customer’s location as per agreed scope and timelines. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, coordinating with various parties, and ensuring project milestones are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the successful delivery of customer orders with agreed scope, quality, and timelines.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for right first-time delivery.
  • Manage the delivery milestones versus agreed baseline and flag any deviations to management.
  • Minimize the risk of delayed delivery through regular progress reviews.
  • Work with all interlocks to find alternate solutions when delivery is at risk.
  • Ensure effective transition to operations and billing, conducting formal order closure reviews.
  • Record and report any issues encountered during delivery.
  • Ensure data integrity and quality within the tools for assigned customer requests.
  • Coordinate the final delivery/migration while ensuring that defined acceptance tests are carried out successfully.
  • Manage risks and issues and own escalations in liaison with line management.
  • Ensure compliance with processes and tools.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong project management skills with a background in networking.
  • Proficient in ServiceNow and other relevant tools.
  • Professional competency in MS Excel (Pivot tables), MS PowerPoint, and MS Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of network architecture and components.
  • Good understanding of LAN & WAN technology.
  • Knowledge of networking (CCNA level preferable).

Years of Experience:

  • Ideally 7-8 years or more in project management and service delivery.

Education & Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree or technical equivalent.
